Biography:

Jeffrey E. Thomas, a hairdresser who worked at salons in Center City and Bryn Mawr, died Friday of complications from AIDS. He was 39. Mr. Thomas' parents lived in Bridgeport, Ohio, at the time of his birth, but their hospital was across the border in Wheeling, W. Va., his mother said, so that's where he was born. When he was 19, Mr. Thomas gravitated to Philadelphia and made this city his home for the next 20 years.
