NAME: A. Aladar Marberger


Biography: A. Aladar Marberger, 41, former artistic director of New York's Joffrey Ballet and a longtime advocate for the work of young artists in the Philadelphia area, died Tuesday at New York Hospital after complications from AIDS. Mr. Marberger, who grew up in Elkins Park, was part owner and director of Philadelphia's Fischbach Art Gallery. He was active both on the New York and Philadelphia art scenes.
