NAME: Joe K. Ledford


Biography:


[K. LEDFORD, 42,] a former systems editor at the Philadelphia Inquirer, died Thursday of complications of AIDS at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. For the last three years, Mr. Ledford was an assistant to the editor in news technology at the New York Times. At The Inquirer from 1987 until 1989, he played a major role in the newspaper's conversion to computerized layout of newspaper pages.
