Source: Jim Nicholson, Daily News Staff Writer Joseph Michael Labance, publisher and co-founder of Au Courant Newsmagazine, died Sunday of AIDS-related lymphoma. He was 35 and lived in Center City.

In 1982, Labance, Joseph Youkanavitch and Frank Broderick, all of whom worked for the Gay News, launched the weekly gay newspaper, Au Courant. On Feb. 9, 1993, Broderick died of complications from AIDS. Interviewed for Broderick's obituary, Labance said:
