NAME: Bobby Hoffman

Biography: Bobby Hoffman will be missed. The North Penn Marching Knights band choreographer brought flair and comedy to the traditionally militaristic formations of marching bands and drum-and- bugle corps, colleagues say. "He was an innovator," said Stephen Frederick, former director of the Marching Knights. "He stretched the limits of the marching arena." Hoffman, 51, died of complications from AIDS Jan. 9 at his home in Harvey Cedars, N.J.
