NAME: Reed Hamilton


Biography:


A man remembered for his great love and compassion, Reed Hamilton was a noted Philadelphia lawyer with a long list of accomplishments. A partner in Blank, Rome, Comisky & McCauley, he served as co-chair of the firm's Health Law Department. His lectures, articles and successful track record in representing hospitals, nursing homes, physicians and other health care providers earned him a national reputation in the field of health law.


Mr. Hamilton was President-Elect of the Pennsylvania Society of Health Care Attorneys and an active member of the Board of Directors of the North Philadelphia Health System. His lectures and articles for groups such as the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the National Health Lawyers Association left a lasting contribution to the health law field.


Beyond his leadership in the legal field, Mr. Hamilton's zest for life and his love of music and fine arts made a lasting impression on all who knew him. Through the Reed Hamilton Fund at the Philadelphia Foundation, established in his memory by family, friends, and colleagues to support the arts, education and health, his contribution to the community will continue to grow and touch the lives of many people and organizations in the region.
