Biography: Paul C. Silverman, 56, a longtime Philadelphia resident who became a leading interior designer in the city and later in New York, died Tuesday of complications of AIDS at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City. Mr. Silverman was a 1951 graduate of Olney High School. He received an architecture degree from Pennsylvania State University and then joined a Harrisburg firm. From 1958 to 1962, he worked with various Philadelphia firms before opening Paul Silverman Interior Design.
