NAME: Robert M. Gillin, Jr.

Biography:

Robert M. Gillin Jr., 30, an architectural and interior designer, died Tuesday of AIDS at his parents' home in Bryn Mawr.

Mr. Gillin had spent the last year talking about his disease with business groups and Philadelphia-area school students, said his mother, Martha Gillin. "He didn't want anyone else to have to unnecessarily go through the emotional pain of having AIDS," she said. "He talked to people of prevention."
