Source: Connie Langland, INQUIRER STAFF WRITER Alan Jiminez Fleming, a librarian by training and a community molder by nature, loved nothing better than teaching children how to make a vejigante, a bogeyman mask that is a parade tradition in Puerto Rico.

So mask-making workshops became a hallmark of his tenure as head of the Lehigh Avenue branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia.
