Biography:
Joseph Michael Labance, 35, of Center City, co-founder and publisher of Au Courant, a news weekly serving the gay community, died Sunday of AIDS-related lymphoma at Graduate Hospital. A passionate man who sometimes could be brusque or intimidating, Mr. Labance wrote articles on gay themes for the school paper at Bensalem High School under the pseudonym Michael Fox. After graduation, Mr. Labance enrolled at Pennsylvania State University
