NAME: John Bolles

Bolles.JPG

Biography:

John was an avant-garde painter, who worked at Lickety Split as a turn-out chef for years. Most of his paintings were sold through galleries in New York, where he eventually moved. While in Philadelphia, he was very involved in establishing a sense of neighborhood in the South Street area, which was undergoing its rapid transition from a wholesale shopping area to one that is retail and residential. Sadly, he is someone about whom we could obtain little more information, because those that were closest to him have also died.
