Jonathan K. Rome, 42, an award-winning television news writer, died Tuesday of complications due to AIDS at his home in Los Angeles. A Philadelphia native, he was the son of the late Edwin P. Rome of the law firm of Blank, Rome, Comisky & McCauley. He was a graduate of the Haverford School and Reed College and studied acting, theater and film at the California University of the Arts, the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco
