Source: David Lieber, INQUIRER STAFF WRITER James M. Spector, 49, a Center City flower shop owner who was well-known in the gay community, died of AIDS Friday at Pennsylvania Hospital. He lived in Center City. At his death, Mr. Spector was surrounded by his friends in a bedside vigil that lasted three days and nights, said his friend Mel Heifetz. "When Jimmy started to fail Tuesday morning, there were always four or five people at his bedside, talking to him and comforting him,"said Heifetz.
