Testimonials to him (add a space before a new testimonial): Hal was on the board of the first &quot; From All Walks of Life&quot; in 1987. I was volunteering administrative help to the board, so that's where I met Hal. His previous work on the March of Dimes walk-a-thon was so helpful to the planning of that first year -- he knew how many port-a-potties we needed for the distance of the walk, and other key logistics! He lived in Locust Point apartments, and was raised in Cherry Hill, NJ. He had a sharp wit and a cackling laugh. When he died, his parents didn't want anyone to know it was AIDS (his dad was a chiropractor and thought he would lose business if it was known), which made his volunteer work with the Walk invisible. A group of us know knew him from that work went to his funeral, and I remember feeling like an important part of Hal had been erased. He was the first friend I lost to AIDS. With loving memories, Debra D'Alessandro<br />
