Stephen J. "Steve"McPartland, who had worked as a blood-gas technician at Graduate Hospital, died Monday from respiratory arrest. He was 30 and had lived in Center City.A graduate of Downingtown High School, where he had been on the track and swim teams, McPartland had been interested in going into the medical field since childhood. When he became 15, he went to work as a volunteer at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital."He always wanted to help
