~ Internship at Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center

- Resident to Chief Medical Resident to Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Einstein an Temple University School of Medicine

~ Research and Education Consultant, AIDS Task Force of Philadelphia.

- Provided educational programs to medical and community groups on the clinical, epidemiologic and social issues surrounding AIDS.

1984

~ Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners as well as a member of the American College of Physicians

1987

~ Became Attending Physician in the Albert Einstein Department of Emergency Medicine

~ Became a member of the Board of Directors of Philadelphia Community Health Alternatives/AIDS Task force of Philadelphia, and as

~ Medical Director of the PCHA clinic for sexually transmitted diseases (STD’s)

~ Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine

Death and Legacy


~ Died of complications relating to AIDS

~ The PCHA sexually Transmitted disease clinic was renamed the Mazzoni Clinic in his memory.

~ The Albert Einstein Medical Center Department of Medicine has established the Peter M. Mazzoni Memorial Prize to be given annually to the resident who

has displayed the humanitarian characteristics of Dr. Mazzoni
